Belgian-based designer, Stephan Schneider was born in Duisburg, Germany to his family of scientist father and brother and hairdresser mother. He studied high school abroad in London and been a garment maker since graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1994.
After graduating, his collection was very well received and in the same year, it was exhibited at Fashion Week in Paris that fanned buyers from all around the world. The flagship store in Antwerp opened in 1996 and he participated the Paris collection from 2001 Spring Summer.
As a successor to Vivienne Westwood since 2007, he is also a professor at the Berlin Art University.
His collections is based on the unique philosophy of “fashion without humor is death”, adding essence to items to give them a unique atmosphere with form, material and print.
His works have a light colour that is simple and elegant with a gentle atmosphere.
