UMA WANG 2022-23 Autumn Winter Collection.
This gown coat has a relaxed silhouette with a generous body width.The front is tied and fastened with a drawcord rather than buttons.The front and back seams are cut off, and a slit is cut from the collar to the middle of the back to reveal a separate fabric, giving it an impressive appearance that falls from the back to the shoulders.The fabric, a blend of virgin wool and linen, has a checkered pattern based on earth tones. Washing gives it a bumpy texture and raised feel due to the difference in shrinkage rate.The pattern is produced by taking large parts to reduce the number of fabric switches, so the area of each piece of fabric is wide, and the dynamic expression of the fabric is utilized.

Fresh from her first show in the official schedule of Paris fashion week, Uma Wang can be defined as one of China's first global labels.
Since the launch of her label in 2009, she has showcased runway collections in London, Shanghai and Milan fashion weeks and she has garnered critical acclaim from the industry.
Wang trained at the Chinese Textile University in Shanghai and at Central Saint Martins in London.
She launched her own label in 2009 and Italian Vogue labelled her an 'up and coming talent'.
In 2012, the Council of Fashion Designers of America picked Uma Wang for its inaugural China Exchange.
Uma Wang's signature technique fuses knit with fabric, balancing sophistication with a timeless design. Continuously researching in transforming materials and images into precious fabrics and shapes, she is on constantly travelling around the world, where different cultures and fascinating stories inspire her for her next collection.
